Episode 105 – How To Handle Menopause In The Workplace with Dyna Vink

We’ve all seen the memes and heard the jokes about the hot flashes, the mood swings and the brain fog, some of them are hilarious.

But let’s be honest here: all of those things can be massively detrimental in the workplace.

Imagine that you’re in a meeting and a hot flash hits, what are you going to do? You’ll probably try to keep it together, pretend nothing’s happening and act like you don’t look like an over ripe tomato and you haven’t really got sweat running in torrents down your face.

Or you’re in the middle of an important presentation and the brain fog descends on you like a blanket of death. Suddenly, you can barely remember your own name, never mind the technical terms you’re supposed to be talking about.

This is a real problem, not just for the menopausal women but also for those around them. Unless they’ve been menopausal, the people around you, male or female, aren’t likely to either understand what’s going on or know what to do about it.

So how do you create an open communication about what’s going on, what those around you can expect and how do you survive menopause in the workplace? Dyna Vink tells us how.
