Episode 97: What To Do When You Are Struggling with Lisa Curry

What’s it like when someone who’s been to the Olympics three times goes through midlife and menopause?

As someone who has struggled with her weight, Lisa Curry knows what it’s like to find yourself unmotivated, overweight and depressed and then go through all the ups and downs of dealing with that.

Is menopause for former elite athletes a different experience to what ‘normal’ women experience? Do they navigate the whole thing better than the rest of us because they’re used to a highly disciplined life? What does Lisa mean when she says you need to find your ‘happy’ weight?

Lisa’s openness and honesty about every topic I threw at her in this conversation is totally inspiring.

On top of everything else life is throwing at her with menopause, empty nests, grandkids and sick parents, Lisa’s also dealing with the death of her daughter 18 months ago.

I expected Lisa to be the forceful go-getting former Olympian turned successful businesswoman that you see in the media but she’s warm, authentic and kind.
