How To Get Off The Emotional Roller Coaster. When two of life’s top three most stressful events happen at the same time: separation and moving house.

When we’re going through a highly emotional and stressful time (such as separating from our partner and/or moving home… maybe both at the same time), it’s so easy to feel like we’re on an emotional roller coaster.

But what if you just can’t afford to be on that roller coaster because there’s just too much at stake and too many things that need doing?

That was the situation I faced. I’d decided that John & I needed to separate and I was selling our house and moving to a new place. There was a lot to do.

It was an interesting experience, letting the emotions go, kind of like watching a movie that was off to one side but wasn’t actually me. Don’t get me wrong, I did occasionally descend into the turmoil of all those emotions boiling about and had a thoroughly enjoyable time but there was simply too much at stake to stay there, I had to learn to let them go.

What I found was that by listening to your emotions, rather than letting them control you, you can begin to see how they are influencing your decisions. If you’re ready to get off the emotional roller coaster, listen to this episode!
