The average person can’t go 45 minutes without eating something – but this is usually out of habit rather than out of necessity, because our bodies can naturally go much longer than that.

As we get older, many of us start to gain more and more unhealthy weight, so what are the reasons for this and is there any way of preventing this?

As we age, our muscles and bones start to decline in strength, which in theory, would make us much lighter in weight. However, many people actually gain a significant amount of weight and put on more fat. The reason for this is the increasing insulin levels in your body. Refined carbohydrates, sugar and eating too regular can cause high insulin levels, which in turn is going to make your body store more fat.
